Student licenses to My10yearPlan.com are tied to your school's Workbook and Portfolio purchase. If you’re interested in taking advantage of this exciting tool, there is a one-time set-up fee ($99) required to activate your school’s master account. Then, once your Workbook and Portfolio order has been placed, the following steps will help you get started so you are ready for your class to start.
  1. Download the ACCOUNT SET-UP FORM, complete the appropriate information, and fax it to Academic Innovations at (800) 967-4027. You will receive an email notification with your login details as soon as your account has been set up (usually within 48 hours when faxed during regular business hours).
  2. Login to My10yearPlan.com and update your profile information, so it is something you can easily remember. You want to keep this information secure, so don’t use a password that is easily guess and make sure you don’t share the information with anyone.
  3. Accounts need to be created for any Career Choices instructors who will be using My10yearPlan.com with their students.
    • Before you create Career Choices instructor accounts, determine how many student licenses you want to allot for each Career Choices instructor. You will need that information during this step.
  4. An account needs to be created for each student. This can be done by either the school site executive (SSE) or the Career Choices instructor(s). (Yes, in some cases, the SSE and the Career Choices instructor are the same person. Lucky you!) If you have a large number of student accounts to create, there is an import option available to the SSE.
    • Determine if the pre- and post-course survey will be administered through My10yearPlan.com or using the form found on page 6/12 – 6/16 of the Instructor’s Guide.
    • Establish a convention for creating usernames so they are easy to remember (e.g., using first initial last name, like jsmith for Joe Smith).
    • Select a default password for student accounts. This will make the set up process easy, but then you will need to make sure students update their account and create a personalized password when they log in for the first time.
